About Us
SACAA-KUWAIT wouldn’t have been possible, had one of us not dreamt and conceived the idea of bonding us Aloysians here, to not merely be proud representatives of our institution but also to emerge as true champions with a vision. The person here is none other than Mr. Archie Menezes, who needs no introduction.
On June 3rd 2005, Mr. Archie Menezes announced and called out all the aloysians to gather to frame this association. So on the first meeting there were 35 ex-students of St. Aloysius Institution assembled under one roof with a vision to form an Association representing ex-Aloysians of Kuwait. Thus SACAA-KUWAIT came into existence. Since its inception in June 2005, SACAA-KUWAIT has to its credit more than 130 members including well-known personalities in Kuwait who have established themselves in their respective fields. The growth of this association has been tremendous due to the aggressive nature of its members and within a short span of time; SACAA-KUWAIT has created its own identity and has established itself in the land of Kuwait. It is indeed overwhelming to see the size of our group grow form a mere 35 to 120. We started off as a small group armored with a lot of dreams and obstinate plans to erect this organization big
Under the guidance and support of our parent association back in Mangalore, SACAA-KUWAIT has made a mark in Kuwait by organizing and taking part in various activities. The association sponsored the box-cricket tournament held at Don Bosco School in September 2005 as part of its social and cultural initiative that witnessed a spectrum of participants and equally enthusiastic supporters. The association also has on its agenda, volleyball and basket ball tournaments in the near future.
SACAA-KUWAIT’s logo was designed by the active participation of all the members to create an identity of its own. A formal constitution was drafted and approved by the members during the 2nd general body meeting held in September 2005. The association held its first general body elections on November 25th 2005 and an executive committee comprising of 10 individuals was formed.
As part of its commitment towards its Alma Mater, SACAA-KUWAIT will try and support the various initiatives of St. Aloysius College to develop the institution and promote social causes.
